When I was a kid, I remember asking my mother if we had to go to church every Sunday just to repeat what we did the Sunday before. Her answer was "Yes". Since then i never asked again, not because i was satisfied with her answer, but because of the look i got with the "Yes".
It all starts with getting ready, with the search of an appropriate church outfit that screams out " GOD DON BLESS MY PAPA AND MAMA" without coming home with a husband.
After Sunday service is when the jolly jolly begins. Now there is no jolly jolly without food and there is no food without a reason to celebrate. During the mass, there are certain ways by which one knows if there is going to be refreshment after service. These are:
1. You see people you last saw the last time there was a party after church.
2. Everybody comes to give offering to show they are alive and present and they look forward to the future, in other words, food.
3. You don't only hear the choir singing, but also unknown voices that need auto-tune to be relatively pleasant to the ears.
4. After the Sunday service, everyone will be willing to help in the kitchen. And we all know why.
The never ending merriment goes on and the happy faces endure. Abeg let me give you examples of some happy faces o jare.

His cutlery was getting in the way, so he did it the African way. |
Today's merriment ended with a song that I gladly volunteered to join the choir in singing because I was filled with the everlasting bread of heaven.
May your Sunday(s) be as fulfilled as ours.
Nur im Krieg und in der Liebe ist alles erlaubt.
